Who I am

Slow Run Living is run by Understrup in Denmark CVR 29260656. The website address is https://slowrunliving.com . I am the datacontroller for the personal data described below. 

The newsletter with the essay

If you sign up, I collect your email address.

I use it to send you an essay every other Friday. Nothing else, and I don’t share your email address with anyone else or sell it. 

The legal basis is your consent. You confirm your sign-up by clicking a link in a confirmation email, and you can withdraw your consent at anytime using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. Unsubscribing takes one click and requires no explanation.

The newsletter is sent using Kit ( Kit Inc USA) who processes the data on my behalf. This means that your email address is transferred to and stored in the United States. This transfer is made under the Europeans Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses which form part of my data processing with Kit. 
Kit also records your IP address at the time of sign-up and whether you open the emails and clicks the links in them. I use this only to see if the essays are being read at all, and to keep my list clean of dead adresses. If you would rather not be tracked this way, most email programs let you block remote images, which prevents open tracking.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Simply.com A/S in Denmark. Like all webservers it keeps shorterm logs of visits, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. The legal basis for this is my legitimate interest in keeping this site running and secure. 

Cookies

 This site does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. WordPress sets cookies only when someone logs in to administer the site which is me.

How long we retain your data

I keep your email address for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe your data is deleted within 12 months.

What rights you have over your data

You have the right to request access to the data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict my processing of it, and to receive a copy of it in a portable format. Write to me at henriette@slowrunliving.com and I’ll respond to it as quickly as I can.
